We are looking for a motivated engaging Trainee Paraplanner.

We are a fast-growing Lifestyle financial planning business looking after ambitious and aspirational clients.

I am looking for someone to be an active part of the team. I don’t expect you to be the uber socialite, but teamwork is really important here and we have each other’s backs.

I do expect you to have a can-do attitude and to be able to manage a reasonable workload and your time effectively

This is a trainee position, so I don’t expect you to know everything, but you need to want to want to learn and improve and to be looking for ways to do things better and we’ll all help and support you on the way.

I am a typical financial adviser and I have all the chaos that goes with client meetings and the unpredictability of a client’s response and need you to help bring order to the business.

I am aware that my role and personality lend themselves to the less structured end of the range. I need you to be part of the team that helps make it all happen swimmingly in the background, so the clients have a fabulous experience with us.

Customer service is absolutely paramount.

The practical stuff

In a perfect world you will have:

  • Experience within financial services

  • Started your Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

  • Experience of writing suitability reports (ideal but not essential).

  • Strong communication skills.

  • An attention to detail and a passion for process and organisation.

  • A willingness to learn and try new things.

  • You won’t mind dogs as the Boss’s dog/s are sometimes in the office.

Your day-to-day stuff:

  • You will support the team with writing suitability reports client plans.

  • Deal with technical queries and other tasks arising from client requests.

  • Help create financial plans on Voyant (We can give you training).

  • Do some basic admin including new business processing and supporting the wider team, we all muck in as one. That’s important.

The package

  • Competitive salary from £20k - £30k dependent on experience.

  • Annual bonus up to 12% of your salary.

  • The role is office based as it is a trainee position, but there is flexibility and some home working or part time working is possible for the right person.
