Company Overview


EQ Investors is an award-winning wealth management firm. As part of our growth strategy we’re opening a Brighton office to provide impact investing to the Sussex area. We’re looking for a special person to help develop our presence in the city.


Role


The right person will be passionate about sustainability and financial planning. We’ll be building from the ground up so a can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in are critical to this role. You’ll also need some experience in financial advice administration. Ideally you would have a few years under your belt and be happy to stretch yourself with some report writing.


Initially it will just be the two of us, so you’ll need to be able to work unsupervised. We offer flexible working, so you can set your own hours (within reason) and work from home when necessary.


You will be helping with the Financial Planning (FP) process from end to end. You’ll help with client meetings, research existing products, help prepare reports & deal with applications. If you want to do more, then great, fancy running some social media?


There’s a team of 60 in our London head office so you will hopefully part of a wider team and you’ll get to know lots of your colleagues there too. They’ll be providing us with lots of support.

Knowledge & Experience


  • 3 years+ minimum experience preferably within an IFA/Wealth Management role

  • Excellent communication abilities and confident dealing with customers and colleagues in any situation

  • Confident with using a variety of provider platforms/Client management systems

  • Strong degree of product knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent written English. E.g. an ability to write clearly and simply using language that clients would understand avoiding jargon

  • Ability to process new applications and business using provider websites and platforms – experience of different Investment platforms is key

  • An ability to work within a task management system

  • Candidate that shows initiative with a ‘solution’ mindset rather than just seeing problems

  • Ability to prioritise and manage workloads

  • Progression made with professional qualifications


Salary & Benefits


The role is a full-time position with a salary range between £35-£40k depending on experience + discretionary bonus. Other benefits include:
