We are looking for a Tech Support to join our team, this could suit someone who is looking to push forward into the next role of their career and would suit someone with a few years of experience. What is a Tech Support

As part of our Operations team, you’ll work closely with everyone across the business to help improve technical process, implement technology projects and increase productivity across the team. You will have a varied role where you will help improve things like internal processes, client experience and automate tasks within our back-office system.

You’ll report to the Head of Operations.

Your aim is to be the technical support within the wider financial planning business to ensure we are utilising and leveraging technology in an efficient and consistent manner. Whilst you do not need to be an expert in financial planning, you will need to be able to interpret and understand the issues within the business to help build solutions to help solve key issues within the business.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Technology Support

  • Provide day to day tech support to the wider team to ensure we are all working productively.

  • Help problem solve any issues within the business and deliver any key technology changes that may be required.

  • Help build and maintain systems and automate processes.

  • Alongside our external support, implement and maintain our IT policies and procedures.

  • Liaise with our key external partners to ensure smooth running of our back office systems.

  • Help troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues for team members.

Improve systems and processes

  • Be a sounding board and help problem solve with the wider team.

  • Provide support to Heads of Departments to enable them to improve the use of technology within their teams.

  • Learn from the team to enable you to build or change existing processes to be more efficient.

Project Management

  • Collaborate with the wider team to identify business problems.

  • Plan, build and implement projects within the business and have full autonomy to roll these out to suit the needs of the business.

  • Monitor and review tech projects to ensure they are completed on time and that they are achieving what the business requires.

What we want in a candidate

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and within wider team

  • Desire to improve process and create efficiencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite

  • Proficiency of Microsoft Power Suite

  • Knowledge of working within Microsoft Dynamics

Would be nice to also have


  • Familiarity within financial planning

  • Degree in Computer Science (or similar)

  • Previous experience in financial planning firm

  • Previous experience managing and delivering projects

What we can offer


  • Salary £35,000 – £55,000 dependant on experience

  • PMI with Vitality

  • Pension matching 5% for first five years, increasing up to 10% matching

  • This would be a hybrid role working between home and within our Camden office – happy to discuss requirements of individuals
