Job Description

The Role


Your role will be varied, stimulating and pivotal to the delivery of the very best service to our clients.


Senior Paraplanning


  • To assist with all aspects of the financial planning process.

  • Report Writing - completion of client reports of a more complex/technical nature.

  • Analyse product documentation and research suitable solutions for clients.

  • Oversee development of Paraplanning team and workload.

  • Act as point of contact regarding queries in relation to Paraplanning work produced by the team.

  • Technical Support - be first line of support with technical matters.

  • Prepare and maintain client files and filing systems and ensuring client databases and back-office systems are up to date.

  • Ensuring the technical elements of the business are run in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.

  • Overseeing and contributing to the creation of paraplanning procedures and templates.


Quality Control


Report Quality - Ensure all report templates and accompanying documentation is relevant, accurate and up to date.

Monitor quality of Paraplanning work produced by Paraplanners/Trainee Paraplanners and outsourced Paraplanners.

Keep up to date with legislation and product changes by attending and maintaining continuous professional development.

Determine ongoing compliance with internal and external policies and standards.

Identifying opportunities for improvement.

Undertake file reviews and feedback to management.


About You


In order to be fully suitable for this role, you will need:


  • A Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent (essential).

  • Additional Advanced financial planning qualifications (desirable).

  • Previous experience in a paraplanning role and a familiarity with research tools and systems, and back offices.

  • To be IT literate and familiar with Microsoft Applications such as Word and Excel. You’ll need to be able to use the software and any other online systems intuitively.

  • Great communication skills and commitment to performance excellence.

  • Excellent report writing skills.

  • A good problem solver and ability to think bigger picture.

  • Ability to work efficiently under own initiative with impeccable attention to detail.

  • Collaborative and able to work well within the team.

  • Shows willingness to get stuck in and assist where when the business requires.

We are a small team of financial planners and paraplanners based in Bridgend, South Wales.


At Magenta we focus on the bigger picture. We genuinely care about people and getting them to where they want to go in life. We just happen to be doing this through financial planning.


Location


Hybrid home and office working arrangements. Ideally within a 50-mile radius of Bridgend.


Salary £30,000-40,000 depending on experience, qualifications and location.
