We are looking to recruit a Paraplanner to join our amazing, innovative, and driven team.

The role


To join as a key part of our team you will be highly technical, have strong attention to detail with a ‘hands-on’ approach. You will have 3 or more years’ experience in paraplanning with a Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS), or level 4 equivalent, with a desire to progress to Chartered status. You will be highly efficient, organised, able to use your own initiative, and be accountable for your tasks and overall output. In return we provide a flexible working environment. Key responsibilities include:


  • Providing full paraplanning support to our advisers and dealing with technical client queries

  • Attending forward planning meetings alongside the financial planner, supporting presentation of information, and where you will be an active participant in the conversation. These take place ordinarily both in Scotland and in London.

  • Producing and continually improving client reports which are client friendly

  • Technical client research and analysis

  • Prepare for client reviews with a thorough, holistic approach through cash flow modelling

  • Build strong relationships with clients and strategic partners

  • Keeping up to date with technical, product, and provider changes

  • Proactively improving processes for the continuing progression of the business

  • Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed service and standards targets

  • Promoting the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities

  • Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs

  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally


About you


To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working as a Paraplanner in a busy Financial Services environment, providing a high standard of technical competence and customer service.


To thrive in the role, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to use your own initiative, be solution focused and resilient with a high level of attention to detail. You will have a natural connection with people, excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, together with the ability to successfully manage a diverse workload, both as part of an energetic team and independently.


You will have a high standard of proficiency with all Microsoft packages. Use of the following packages would also be a distinct advantage:


· Office 365

· SharePoint

· Adviser Office

· Truth Cashflow Modelling

· O&M Systems

· Financial Express (Analytics)

· MoneyInfo

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of £40-£50K per annum based on experience, plus benefits including 10% pension contributions, death in service, income protection, and 30 days holiday per annum (incl public), and an extensive training and development programme.
