Aspire specialise in turning our client's aims and objectives into a tangible financial plan and providing a service clients really value. We are an independent firm and offer holistic advice from mortgages, protection, and investments through to complex retirement and later life planning.
2021 was a fabulously busy year and we are now looking for more amazing people to join the team.
About the role
As you would expect the role involves risk profiling, product research, providing technical recommendations and suitability report writing. You will work closely with the firm's Financial Planners and attend meetings where required. Paraplanners are an integral part of the firm's service delivery proposition and are supported by an administrative team.
As a smaller business, you can make an instant impact and, once proven in the team, can enjoy a high level of autonomy. We are passionately client-centric so delivering on the service we promise our clients is hard work, but we always manage to have a little fun along the way!
We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys varied and technical work and a fast paced environment. We work with individuals as well as business owners and often take a deep dive into their lives, so there is plenty of scope to both use the knowledge you have and to gain more.
Naturally you will need to be confident in numerical analysis, have a high standard of written English, good organisational and time-management skills and an infallible eye for detail. We love people who are problem solvers, who enjoy process change and technology, and are naturally inquisitive. Control freaks are very welcome, Voyant ninja’s equally so.
Ideally you will have at least 4-5 years’ experience in financial services, at least two of which should have been in a personal financial planning business, and hold the CII Diploma in financial planning (or equivalent).
What’s on offer
This role would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience in a paraplanning role and is looking to develop this skill further. We offer exam support, a career path towards Chartered Paraplanner and a strong benefits package in a friendly and collaborative working environment. The role is based in central Bristol and we enjoy being office based.
Starting salary is dependent on current qualifications and work experience related to the role. The range is between £28,000 and £40,000. Plus:
Bonus of up to 15%
33 days holiday including bank holidays
Private Medical Insurance
Social events and activities
