What is Paraplanning at FFP?

A Paraplanner at FFP is a key link in the team. They work with the Financial Planner to ensure they have all the information and tools available to them to give the client the best financial planning service. They are also a stepping stone between the Planner and the Administrator to ensure the recommendations in the client’s financial plan are implemented correctly and in a timely manner.

Salary: Competitive

Hours: Monday – Friday,9:00 am – 5:00 pm (flexible)

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Paraplanner who holds a minimum of a level 4 professional qualification such as the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Ideally candidates will hold or have the ambition to gain level 6 qualifications.

We want someone who is good at problem solving and can undertake technical analytical work including cash flow forecasting and investment analysis. Excellent report writing skills are a must as well as the ability to communicate complex information in a way which can be understood by a range of different people.

Paraplanners at FFP manage their own client bank therefore it is vital that they are organised and can track workflow throughout the entire financial planning process.

This is an extremely exciting role and your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding the client’s current financial situation and making proposals for our Planners.

  • Undertaking technical research and financial analysis to allow the Financial Planner to identify suitable solutions for the client.

  • Preparing and creating agendas for client meetings.

  • Attending client meetings and writing minutes.

  • Using cash flow modelling to prepare a lifestyle financial plan.

  • Answering technical questions for our Planners and our clients.

  • Preparing compliant and client friendly suitability letters.

  • Writing in-depth financial plans.

  • Working with the admin team to ensure recommendations are implemented.
