Job Description

An exciting position has become available for a full-time IFA Associate based in Kirkcaldy. The successful candidate will earn £25,000-£30,000. End of business year (August) and discretionary Christmas Bonus depending upon company performance.


We are a firm of Chartered Financial Planners who offer a comprehensive independent financial planning service.

Role Requirements

  • A team player who shares our values

  • Prior experience in a client services role is preferred, ideally gained within the Financial Services industry but not essential.

  • A desire to learn and grow and a willingness to challenge the status quo

  • A relevant industry qualification or studying towards qualification is preferred

  • Ability to identify and suggest ways of improving business efficiency / control benefits

  • Experienced in using Intelligent Office (or similar client record keeping system) and other adviser support tools is preferred.

  • Microsoft Office skills are essential.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist the team to deliver an excellent client service experience

  • Follow agreed Client Services practices and documented procedures / training guides

  • Ensure that client records in iO folders are consistently organised and documentation consistently filed.

  • Ensure client activity & tasks are accurately recorded and actioned in iO in accordance with agreed procedures and timeframes.

  • Liaise with providers to resolve any adviser queries / client queries / administration issues.

  • Annual Reviews - support the adviser team to fully satisfy the firms agreed review process for all clients with service agreements.

  • Investment Schedules – oversee and prepare accurate client valuation schedules in line with agreed format / standards and ensure iO is updated with all relevant client / plan data.

  • New Business & Advice Recommendations - ensure that all new business & advice recommendations are processed efficiently and in a timely manner with all relevant client / plan data accurately recorded in iO and in the Advice (New Business) Register

  • Ensure client model portfolios are rebalanced in accordance with agreed rebalance policy & procedures.
