Job Description

Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a brilliant Financial Services Administrator to join our Cirencester Office. This is a full-time office-based role for someone with experience within the financial services profession.

The successful applicant will be an adaptable, creative, self-organising problem-solver who thrives on responsibility and working as part of a small team. They will be given the opportunity to help shape the future of a dynamic Chartered Financial Planning firm. A love of coffee and cake is not a pre-requisite but may prove useful.

As the first point of contact for clients you will have excellent communication skills and employ a pro-active approach to assisting them whenever you can. We would look to utilise your experience to benefit the firm, especially if this includes marketing or practice management. You will also get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of other projects.


  • First point of contact for clients, both for office-based meetings and over the telephone;

  • Indexing documents to our virtual filing cabinet (we are a paperless office);

  • Maintain and update our CRM (Curo) with client information as required;

  • Liaising with providers regarding letters of authority instructions and administration requests;

  • Carrying out implementations and general admin on the WRAP platforms we use;

  • Processing application paperwork and completing client identification checks;

  • Admin tasks such as maintaining office supplies, dealing with utility providers for the office, scanning documents, dealing with incoming and outgoing post;

  • Administration of Invoices to be paid and other accounts admin;

  • Arranging client meetings;

  • Assisting in preparation for client refine meetings;

  • Along with others in the team you will take on some marketing responsibilities;

  • Manage Directors inbox;

  • Taking part in various projects as they arise.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant experience in the financial planning profession;

  • To be a strong team player, who works well alongside others, but also independently;

  • Use of own initiative when required;

  • Attention to detail;

  • Strong organisation and time-management skills;

  • Excellent communication skills;

  • Self-motivated;

  • Good IT skills, including a working knowledge of Word and Excel;

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant CII (or similar) Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of Curo, Virtual Cabinet


  • 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holiday and closure over Christmas week;

  • Support towards the cost of study material and exams;

  • Pension

  • PMI

  • Salary – £18-22k, dependent upon skills and experience.

Hours are 9-5, with a half an hour lunch break.
